Buggy had an official showcase on the main stage of the 2024 NERFA conference in Portland, Maine.
This year the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) convenes at the Desmond Hotel Crowne Plaza in Buggy Jive’s hometown: Albany, NY! So get ready, y’all.
All of Buggy Jive’s private showcases take place Friday, Nov. 7, which is the official release day of the new album Icarus Ascending.

Buggy Trivia for Fellow NERFA Nerds
NERFA is in Buggy’s hometown this year! He lives just outside of Albany in Delmar, NY.
Buggy was born at Bellevue Women’s Hospital in Niskayuna, which is only a few miles from the Desmond.
Buggy’s new album ICARUS ASCENDING drops Friday, Nov. 7 – smack dab in the middle of this year’s conference.
Coincidentally, all of Buggy’s private showcases are on Friday night, so let’s help him celebrate by pretending each showcase is an album release party.
Also coincidentally: Nov. 7 is Joni Mitchell’s birthday. The new album borrows its name and title track from Joni’s song “Amelia.” Happy Joni Mitchell’s Birthday to all who celebrate.
